Travel WellIlllustration for onWander.comTo promote the launch of their new web service, onWander.com asked a bunch of illustrators, as part of their Postcard Project, "to imagine a postcard from everywhere and nowhere at once." On a tip from Jon Jensen, Keenan Cummings tapped me to contribute, and I jumped at the chance to be a part of the project. One of my favorite parts about living in Hawaii was the way so many languages and cultures created this sort of pan-Pacific plate lunch. For this project I wanted to create something with the same feel, but a bit more trans-continental... something like Roman Holiday with a Balkan Beat Box soundtrack.See the whole postcard at onwander.com →

Cub CampPoster Illustration & DesignScooter McCreight approached me to illustrate a promotional poster for his Toronto club night, Cub Camp. Cab Camp's posters all follow a similar layout, each interpreted a little differently by the various illustrators from the GLBT community. I was stoked to be able to put my spin on such a great series. Shown here is the final poster, and chunk of the face that didn't make it into the final crop.

2011 UVU AthleticsPhoto Campaign, Photography by Jacob ScottUVU Athletics is one of the key players in the Great West conference in NCAA Division 1 athletics. Year after year they place at the top of their conference, earning them the nickname "best in the west."I worked closely with the athletic director to develop a concept, and then delivered concept sketches to our photographers to execute. The results earned a place in the Salt Lake City AIGA 100 show in 2011.

Jac Scott PhotographyWeb, Branding, and Portfolio DesignIMy good friend and long-time collaborator Jacob Scott asked me to design a full identity and web portfolio for his long-established photography practice. I am a huge fan of Jac's work and was excited to build a site to showcase it. I really felt that Jac's photos speak for themselves and I wanted to let them do all the talking. Giant thumbnails compose the vast majority of the single-page site, and while there are many images, they load quickly and in succession, much quicker than other flash-based portfolio systems.Visit jacjacjac.com →

The Good LifeUVU promotional poster, Illustrated by Meg HuntUVU Recruitment approached me to create a promotional poster to be mailed out to local high schools to promote the university and get students excited for the college experience. I wanted to create something both fun and useful, something that would garner attention in the mailbox, and staying power after it had been opened.I contacted one of my favorite illustrators, Meg Hunt, to illustrate the piece, because I knew her playful, but sophisticated style would deliver exactly what we wanted. The result was a poster that really blew our audience away, and was also featured in the 2010 SLC AIGA 100 show.

Coverflaux

Every now and then I find myself making new artwork for albums in my iTunes library. Stock sites, my own photos, Shorpy, dA, and the stunning Re:Braun from Bootleg Objects.
