About Jory Dayne

My name is Jory Dayne, and I am a graphic designer currently living and working in Utah, at the base of some very tall mountains. I have worked in design for over six years, three of which as the Senior Designer of marketing at Utah Valley University.

Among other things, my work has been featured in Adobe's latest release of Illustrator (CS4) and on Adobe.com, stolen and sold illegally in Singapore, been a part of traveling exhibitions for the American Library Association, and this one time I designed a jamboree badge for the Boy Scouts of America.

I have spent most of my career designing print documents for state institutions, and while these pieces rarely find their way into my portfolio, the experience has been invaluable. Heading a team of designers in a marketing office as part of a larger public relations division has been an incredibly challenging role — and that role, in conjunction with freelancing, has informed my design process and augmented my skill set.

Were you to hire me (and you are certainly welcome to), I would happily apply everything I've learned over the years to our mutual benefit. You should contact me today — we can start figuring the whole thing out.

I prefer to be contacted via email at jory@jorydayne.net, although you could probably reach me on Twitter as well.

In addition to my work here, I curate a growing showcase of black and white artwork of a certain steez at The Major Arcana.

And finally, I often post process shots and experimental work on my flickr account, and keep a general blog at jorydayne.net.
